Abstract

The objectives of this study are to examine the effect of Cooperative Learning: Integrated Model of Think Pair Share and Numbered Head Together on the students’ ability in analyzing intrinsic elements of short story text. This research is non-equivalent control group design. The data were collected using Multiple Choice Questions test. The hypothesis was examined with T-test. Based on the results of data analysis obtained that t-test result from the posttest student learning outcomes is higher than t-table that t-count 2.427 > t-table 1.684 with a significant level of 5%. And, the average learning outcomes of experimental group is 79.047, while control class 70.476. So, it be concluded that the independent variable significantly affect the dependent variable, in this case is students’
ability in analyzing intrinsic elements of short story.
